EFT donates Crystal Clean to decontaminate home used as meth lab

When Envirofoam's Kevin Irvine heard about the plight of a family whose three children were made seriously ill by meth contaminants in their home, he wanted to help.

Jason and Rhonda Holt purchased their Winchester, Tennessee home five years ago as the perfect place to raise a family. But soon after each of their three children were born, they began to suffer from mysterious respiratory illnesses; Rhonda had migraines, and her husband suffered from kidney problems. Only after medical bills mounted to $25,000 did the Holts learn the reason behind their sickness: their family dream home had previously been a methamphetamine lab.

Even though the Holts had put in new carpet and flooring and repainted throughout the home before moving in, tests showed toxic levels of contamination in bedrooms, the children's playroom, ductwork, and -- highest of all -- at the stove where all their meals had been prepared.

Although the Holts' health began to improve when they moved out of the house to stay with in-laws, long-term effects are unknown; and they were devastated to learn that extensive repairs and clean-up costs would run in the tens of thousands of dollars.

EFT donated Crystal Clean to decontaminate the home. Crystal Clean foam can be sprayed on any surface, and rinsed away with water, completely removing meth contamination. A report from an inspector to officially clear the home is expected in 10 days.
